Monday, May 25, 2009 at 11:55AM When Shelby told me that she was pregnant...with twins....I was beyond excitement. This was not only my first chance at photographing a twin filled belly and an upcoming opportunity to photograph twins from newborn to adult hood, this one was personal. You see, Shelby is my sister!!!! These babies were a long time comin' and this pregnancy was an important one to all of us, but especially Shelby and Kenzie. I will finally be an aunt and my mom and dad will be granted the title of "grandparents". A description that they have been thrilled to receive. Shelby and Kenzie live in Denver, CO. so it was a no-brainer when it came to picking a location as a back drop. We decided to 'tap the Rockies'.......
So, I know it has been done many times before, but i just had to get the "two peas in a pod" shot. The sincerest form of flattery, right?? Too cute!!
Kendra was a special case. Sure she was a beautiful girl, but she was a natural beauty. I knew when I photographed her the first time with her fiance that she would be up for anything so i convinced her that heading into the deep woods and climbing up onto porches of old abandoned shacks was going to be a great idea. Just as I thought, she was game. It was a beautiful day, and other than a few ticks hitching a ride to Wilmington with us, it was well worth the travel time.
