Christy+Scott: A Buckeye Wedding with a Wolverine photographer...

Scott and Christy grew up in Ohio. They both went to school at OSU. They were both cheerleaders at OSU. What does an OSU cheerleader hate more than anything in the world...U of M. Ann Arbor. Wolverines. Where did I grow up....Ann Arbor. I even have an autographed photo of Bo Schembechler on my wall. Lucky for me, they did not know about this until half way through the reception. One of the groomsmen complemented me on my photography earlier in the day and then confronted me later on..."Are you seriously from Ann Arbor?" he asked. I replied "Yup, that's where all the good photographers come from!" The truth is, we couldn't survive without one another. I was lucky to be a part of such a fun and "cheerfull" day. A Southern Belle Bride at Orton Plantation. . .

So, if you have a beautiful Bride and a beautiful bouquet (Thank you Verzaals!!) then the next thing you need is a beautiful location. Orton Plantation came to mind immeditaly. Although it was a bit chilly for Bridal portraits, Ann was a trooper and made it look as if it were sunny and 75. It amazes me how many people in Wilmington and the surrounding areas have never been to Orton Plantation for a visit. I have been coming here for almost 30 years. The drive in under the canopy of Live Oaks brings you to a hidden little jem of a spot. Gorgeous landscaping and gardens, a quaint Chapel, look-out docks and the occasional gator sighting make up this former rice plantation. It is a nice alternative to a day at the beach. Tours, photos,picnics, weddings or a quiet stroll...what ever your up for, it is a great place to do it!!
